The 2023 SEA Games schedule has been announced by CAMSOC via their official website, complete with dates of activities, as well as their location.
The schedule includes 54 unique codes or variants of the 36 official sports being played at the games. Almost all of the events are to be held in Phnom Penh, including the opening ceremony, while Sihanoukville will play host to the sailing events.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Prime-Minister Hun Sen announcing that the games would not only be free for Cambodians, but that anyone who had purchased a ticket would be refunded.

What is the 2023 SEA Games schedule?
The first events too kick off will be football, cricket and chess on April 29th, with the vast majority of others coming in May and after the official opening ceremony to be held on May 5th at the Morodok Techo Stadium.
The games will officially finish on May 17th, which will see the finals of many major sporting events.
2023 SEA Games Schedule – What about the football?
Despite initial plans to start on April 26th, the football will now start on the 29th with mens games held at the Prince Stadium, as the (old) Olympic Stadium.

The tournament will feature all ASEAN members, as well as future member Timor-Leste, although how many groups, who will be in each group and fixtures have yet to be announced.
It is though expected to follow previous tournaments, whereby the 12 participants will be whittled down to 4 before going into a single match semi-final, 3rd placed play-off and final.
