The game itself was also not exactly a night fixture, with the Hanuman Stadium still being devoid of floodlights, although Tiger are apparently breaking ground this October on their new stadium.

With the two team taking 7th and 8th spot last year, while newly promoted Prey Veng and ISI have spent and are doing well, this was a much neither wanted to lose. Tiger though came out stronger and with their passionate home support went 1-0 up in the 9th minute. Through Blasco.

To say the rest of the match was boring would be unfair, Tiger as always had some attacking flair to them, but it was also not the most entertaining match of the CPL so far. Kirivong who had looked good before today were weak and never really looked to get back into the game.

Tiger then sealed the match with a 24th minute goal from Pisey to give the home fans a rare win at the Hanuman Standium.

What did we learn?

In essence not all that much. These were the bottom two teams in the league last year, with both obviously wanting to win. Tiger though took advantage of being at home and did what they need to do. Heath is still playing attractive football, but one still things the club lack the strength in depth.

Kirivong who had looked so great in the League Cup were through disappointing and they will seriously have to lift their game if they are to avoid a relegation dogfight this season.
