Hosts Cambodia went 1-0 down against Hong Kong, before missing a penalty and then sealing a draw in the dying seconds of what was an extremely entertaining match.

Can they beat Macao?

On the face of it there really is not that much between the two sides with Cambodia ranked 176th in the world, while Macao are ranked at 182, but in reality the gulf is, or at least should be much higher and this is certainly a game that Cambodia will expect to win.

Historically the teams have met six times, with Cambodia winning four times and Macao having just one solitary victory, beating the team 3-1 back in 2011, the remaining match was a draw. This will be the first match between the two sides since a 1-1 tie in a World Cup qualifier back in 2015.

Riding the Felix Dalmas wave

Should Cambodia win, it will come on the back of not just the impressive 1-1 draw against Hong Kong, but also the recent results of the national Under 23 side who recently drew 2-2 with Lebanon, as well as beating Mongolia with 10 men.

Many will be hoping that this is just the start for what is looking like a promising start to the Felix Dalmas era.
