Cambodia Win 21 Medals in One Day at 12 Para Games

Cambodia won a staggering 21 medals at the 12 ASEAN Para Games on Wednesday marking their biggest one day haul to date.

The 21 medals, which included 3 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze came as Cambodia hosts the games for the first time in history.

Two of the new gold medals were obtained in the Powerlifting’s Men’s Up to 107 kg and Men’s Up 107kg (Total Lift) events, while the other wasin the High Jump T46 event.

How are Cambodia doing overall?

According to the latest statistics Cambodia has total 64 medals including 9 gold, 19 silver and 36 bronze.

This means that the host nation have more than doubled their haul from the last games which were held in Salo, Indonesia.

The haul also puts Cambodia in 8th place overall among the 11 participating nations, with Indonesia currently topping the table with 315 medals as of Wednesday June 7th.

Cambodia finished 4th at the 2023 SEA Games which were also hosted for the first time in the country.
