The opening weekend of Cambodia League Two has given us a little indication of how things will shape up this season.
Saturday 16th September
Life FC 1-1 Angkor City
This was a thrilling game, played on a field heavily affected by the rainy season.
For Life FC it was a first game professionally and they don’t look out of place playing at this level. The first half belonged to them going in 1-0 at half time thanks to a goal from Kipson.
The second half was ACFC with Bruno equalizing on the hour and then ACFC working several good chances but unable to take the win. A point was a fair result.
Police 3-0 Tiffy Army (B)
Police got off to a flying start with a comfortable home win over Tiffy Army (B) which is mainly made up of their u19 championships winning team. Police will be challenging for promotion and on this display it will take something special to stop them.
Sunday 17th September
Siem Reap 1-1 National Academy
This was another game showing us for sure that League Two will be close and unpredictable. National Academy took the lead on two minutes and went in at half time 1-0 up. Siem Reap came back in the second half dominating the ball and chances and got their equalizer.
Monday 18th September
Vishaka 2-1 ISI
Much has been made of Vishaka squad registered and the quality they have.
They ran out 2-1 winners today against a ISI team full of youth, energy and determination. The quality of Vishaka being the difference at the end of this game.
