According to sources within the Football Federation of Cambodia a behind closed doors meeting to decide the fate of CPL 2 is currently happening at the Cambodian Premier League headquarters.

What do we know so far?
Merely that a meeting is finally taking place, this is after the one scheduled for June 12th and including clubs was cancelled for unknown reasons.
Aside from that we know that the Cambodian Second Division Facebook Page have now updated their logo to “coming soon”, sadly what they have not done is as of yet updated clubs about anything.

What does it mean?
Quite literally CPL 2 “coming soon” should at least mean that there will at least be a second division, something that has been far from secure in recent months.

We also know that there are just 5 clubs who have shown interest ins taking part, inclusive of 5 “real” ones and the reserve side of ISI. Aside from that we but wait until the CPL overlords give us their final decision. Until then clubs as always remain in limbo.
