UK sports and fashion apparel brand Desportol have been named as sponsors and kit providers for the Cambodian Soft Tennis Federation. The news comes on the back of a number of other sponsorships that the company has announced.
What is soft tennis?
Soft tennis is a racquet based sport that originated in Japan in the 1880’s, and as the name suggests it is a derivative of mainstream tennis, with the main difference being that it is played at a slower pace and with a softer ball.
And it would appear that it is also a sport that Cambodia are rather good at having won 8 medals at the 2023 SEA Games, inclusive of two gold medals.

Desportol the kit supplier of choice
The announcement also marks another coup for Desportol as they further add to their impressive tally of team and national federations that they are suppling shirts and apparel for.
So far they have arranged deals with Tennis Cambodia, Next Step FC and most recently Kingdom Of Football.

This was according to Desportol founder Kelvin Law part of their overall strategy to help with the development of sport within the Kingdom through positive engagement and sponsorships.
They are currently few kit and apparel manufacturers in Cambodia, despite its reputation as a textiles and fashion hub.
