Elite Soccer Coaching in partnership with Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC have launched their “2023 Phnom Penh Champions League” program,

The 6 a-side tournament will take place on the 3G artificial surface at Central Park Sports Complex on Monday and Thursday evenings, from 7pm-8.30pm, starting Monday 20 March and will finish on Thursday 4th May.

Who can take part in the competition?

The competition will see up to eight amateur sides take part, with each team being able to register a roster of up to twelve players, with the winners not only taking home the Champions League trophy, but also I individual medals for the wining teams.

To particulate teams will need to register, as well as pay a $250 fee, with places n to only limited but “filling up fast” according to organizers.

Speaking directly to BPVE Chris William GM of PKR Svay Rieng and one of there organizers of the competition told us “ts a 6-a-side competition that will run over 6 weeks with a total of 8 teams involved. Elite Soccer Coaching Cambodia, aside from providing soccer schools for kids and programmes for international schools, also wants to support the development of more competitions in Cambodia. We have ran multiple competitions over the years from youth to adult and this is the latest installment of our competitions, the Phnom Penh Champions League”

With the tournament expected to get decent coverage, particularly during our extended “off-season”, there were also opportunities for non-playing actors too, with Chris William further adding “We are actively looking for partners for the competition, with sponsors not only getting exposure, but also helping with grass roots football within the Kingdom”.
