FSM Cup Kicks off in Micronesia

FSM Cup

The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Cup has kicked off in Micronesia, seeing the different states of the country play each other at Futsal.

The competition which is being overseen by Paul Watson, former manager of Pohnpei and the youngest football manager in the history of the sport. A project which has since turned into a book, Up Pohnpei, and may well soon become a movie.

How ha sit been going so far?

So far it has been goals galore, with Yap being Pohnpei 6-2, with Chuuk, who are seeking independence beat Kosrae 5-4

The tournament is last from July 8th through 15th, when the champions of the Federated States of Micronesia will decided. Prior to the involvement of Paul Watson football remained a relatively minor sport in the FSM, which is a state in free association with the United States.

Where will be developed next?

The next project for opening up will allegedly be in Nauru, which recently formed a Nauru Soccer Federation (NSF).
