The national knock-out football competition of Cambodia, the Hun Sen Cup will make a return on Tuesday May 23rd, following the successful conclusion of the 2023 SEA Games, which were held in Cambodia.

The competition will resume with the provincial qualifiers, which see teams from throughout Cambodia fight out it out to face the “big boys” in the later rounds. Despite Cambodia’s move from a calendar season to a summer to summer one the national competition was kept to its normal start.
With the CPL not starting until August, this currently makes it, along with futsal the only current competitive football within the Kingdom.
Hun Sen Cup Returns – Who is playing?
Currently just the regional teams, with there being no standout fixtures to speak of. The matches are though a great chance to see the up and coming talent in Cambodia.

Sihanoukville Province vs Kampong Speu Province
Wednesday 23rd
Kampong Cham Province vs Kandal Province
Tboung Khmer Province vs Svay Rieng Province
How rio watch the Hun Sen Cup?
Simply go to the stadium, usually a high school and watch. There are no entrance for provincial sides in Cambodia.
