In a fairly open match with both teams playing attacking football it was to be ISI who took first blood when Jhon Frith of Timor-Leste shot in a 25 yard screamer. Early proof of what he might have in store this season.
Nagworld were not to be kept down getting even in the 54 minute through a goal from Davnim. The game was then settled just minutes from time when Marcio slotted home to give Naga the KCC Cup.
What does it mean?
While one shook never read too much into a pre-season cup, both teams were impressive. ISI despite being newly promoted have been great in pre-season and while not likely to be title challengers, will probably finish closest to the top than the bottom. Jhon Frith might also prove to be one of the best signings of the season – as predicted by us.
