ISI vs Nagaworld

Its that beautiful time of year when clubs arrange pre-season cup’s. The first incarnation of the season, the KCC Cup will see newly promoted ISI take on Nagaworld in the final this Saturday.

How did they qualify?

With a standard 4 team format ISI took on the other newly promoted side Prey Veng, whom they smashed 3-1.

Both ISI and Nagaworld were controversially promoted despite finishing 2nd and 5th respectively in the CPL 2 last year.

They will take now face Nagaworld in the final, whom they lost 3-2 to in the group stages.

Nagaworld were unlucky to finish runners-up in the recent league cup, with many seeing them as a strong outside bet for the CPL title this coming season.

Both the CPL and CPL 2 are to officially restart on August 5th, although nothing firm has yet been announced about the second tier.
