Who is Jonata?
Jonata de Oliveira Bastos (born 26 November 1997), Jonata to his friends is a quick goalscoring striker from Brazil. He began his career at Clube de Regatas Brasil before a loan to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, one of the biggest clubs in the country.
A 2016 move to Portugal where he has played ever since, mostly in the lower leagues of the country. Last season he scored 5 goals in 25 games for U.D. Oliveirense in Portugals Liga 2 and is considered quite a catch for Visakha.
What can we expect from him?
Visakha have again shown their ambition with this signing as far from being past it, at 26 Jonata is at the prime of his career. With pedigree they will certainly be hoping that he can rediscover his goalscoring form.
Fans can also rightly be excited, with the mouth watering trio of Jonata, Jorge Eduardo and Mouzinho arguably looking like the most exciting front three in Cambodian football.
