The fixture list for the upcoming 2023-24 Cambodian Premier League season has been announced, including a cracking opening tow days of games.

When will the opening day fixtures of the Cambodian Premier League be?
Unlike the 2022 season matches will no longer be played on a single day, so the opening day is actually an opening weekend, namely the Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August. This theoretically at least will also mean some live games on TV.

Saturday 5th August
Visakha FC vs Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC
Prey Veng FC vs Tiffy Army FC
Sunday 6th August
Phnom Penh Crown FC vs Boeung Ket FC
ISI Dangkor Senchey FC vs Angkor Tiger FC
Nagaworld FC vs PKR Svay Rieng FC
Note – Times have not been published as those clubs with floodlights will likely play in the evening, while some matches may be moved to fit with a broadcasting schedule
What to look out for on week one?
.So, who should you watch and what are the significance of the matches? Here’s the BPVE rundown.
Firstly Crown against Boeung Ket will a real test of if Boeung Ket can challenge, but also if Phnom Penh Crown are in fact as good as we think they are.
Nagaworld against Svay Rieng is another whopper of a game. PKR Svay Rieng were many peoples favorites before they lost Conor Nestor, while Naga surprised everyone by reaching the League Cup final.

Prey Veng vs Tiffy Army is another interesting won, with most fans feeling they should not even be here after finishing 5th in CPL 2 last year.
And lastly we have big spending ISI against Angkor Tiger, who came second bottom last year. ISI despite finishing second in CPL 2 last season have been big spenders since promotion, while Tiger have been far less active in the transfer market.
And as for CPL 2? Well we are still waiting on that elephant in the room….
Overall though and after an almost 8 moth break, it will simply be nice to have regular football….
