Tiffy Army, the team representing the armed forces of Cambodia have appointed Phea Sopheaktra as their new coach after a long while in the coaching wilderness.
The announcement came via the clubs social media channels, and whilst good news for fans leaves the new manager with just over a week to complete transfers before the end of the current window.
Who is Phea Sopheaktra?

Formerly the assistant coach at Tiffy Army he has now been promoted to the top job. His career so far has been a varied one, which has seen him involved in grassroots football, as well as attaining the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) A License, making hime one of the more qualified managers in the CPL.
Fans, owners and his 24,000 Facebook followers will no doubt be hoping that he improve the fortunes of one of the oldest clubs in Cambodian football.
What can fans expect?
Ideally an improvement in the teams fortunes with the club failing to challenge for any trophies last year. Despite being founded in 1982 the club have never won the league, having been runners-up on 3 occasions.
They have though won the Hun Sen Cup 3 times, in 2013, 2015 and 2018.

The club currently have two foreigner spots left to fill, something the new coach will be desperate to complete before the end of the window if the club hope to be challenging for the title in the coming season.
