Last years 3rd placed team PKR Svay Rieng have announced a strategic partnership with the social media platform TikTok according to a statement on, you guessed it TikTok.
According to the announcement, which BPVE painstakingly translated “Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and TikTok become official trading partners”. Aside from that not much else was said, although the club were happy to clarify further.
Speaking exclusively to BPVE Christopher Grant General-Manager of the club told us “Through Httpool, who are the exclusive reseller partner for TikTok, the commercial partnership will provide direct support to our football club through a dedicated team helping to build and grow our audience on the TikTok platform and utilizing TikTok features to bring our fans closer to the club than ever before. The partnership will see our club and TikTok work together to grow both our brands within Cambodia as we will be the first professional football club to partner with TikTok in Cambodia”
Alongside Facebook TikTok is the most consumed social media platform within the Kingdom and is increasingly important for the younger “football” demographic.
Who are PKR Svay Rieng?
One of the most successful clubs in the country and indeed well supported they were recently rocked by the resignation of legendary coach Conor Nestor.

Since then the club have been rebuilding both on and off the field. Last month the club announced that experienced Spanish coach Munoz would replaces Conor Nestor as well as a number of new signings.
It is hoped the deal with TikTok will help the club expand its already impressive fanbase throughout the country.
