Wednesday April 5th will be become a day in football history as the draw for the SEA Games took place and saw both men and womens teams drawn in groups that can be navigated.

Two groups of five, the top two in each progress to the semi finals and the winners of those games onto the final.
Being the host nation meant Cambodia were in the Pot A at the expense of Thailand. This also meant regional powerhouse Vietnam, same pot as us, could be drawn and fortune was definitely on our side as Thailand were drawn on the same group as Vietnam leaving our group wide open.
Timor will open the games and a game we should win. Mouzinho and Jon will need to be watched closely but home advantage will give us the much needed boost.
The Philippines, Myanmar & Indonesia follow on that order and all three games will be winnable dependent on which Cambodia turn up.

The Women will also feel confident…
The women’s game is going from strength to strength and although no games are easy, they will feel confident they can get through seeing Vietnam and Philippines on the other side of the draw.
They open up against Laos in a game they will expect to win. That momentum will take them into the Singapore game and if we come through that without losing then the final game against five time winners Thailand will be played under no pressure.
Prediction: Runners Up
The host nation can be very pleased with the draw for both teams and the countries most popular sport will be eagerly anticipated.
