Cambodia won it’s 9th gold medal this morning at the old Olympic stadium in the soft tennis event.

Soft Tennis Explained…

Soft tennis is a racket game played exactly like ‘normal tennis’ with the only difference being the type of ball used. Like tennis, it is played by individuals (singles) or pairs (doubles), whose object is to hit the ball over the net, landing within the confines of the court, with the aim of preventing one’s opponent from being able to hit it back.

Desportal pulled at the last minute…

Hong Kong apparel manufacturer Desportal were in line to provide Tennis Cambodia with their apparel for the games until last minute rule changes had stopped them being able to.

The Hong Kong company, who have recently announced a deal with Next Step FC, will provide Tennis cambodia moving forward.

Of course what they were wearing didn’t matter in the end

Cambodia’s ninth gold medal going to Khun Chanrosika and Sam Chankabi who won gold medals in the men’s and women’s mixed doubles after defeating compatriots Ho Srey Nouch and Say Sochetra in the finals The final.
