Vattanac Golf Resort hosts 5th Samdech Krolahom Cup 2022

The 5th Samdech Krolahom Cup 2020 was held on Saturday at the Vattanac Golf Resort in Phnom Penh, with more than 140 players from various sectors taking part in the day-long event.

The participants include top government officials and leading businesspeople in Cambodia. Those present include Deputy Prime Minister/Interior Minister Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Defence Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Land Management Chea Sophara, National Police Chief General Neth Savoeun, Tourism Minister Thong Khon, Minister of Industry Cham Prasidh and Immigration Director-General Kirth Chantharith.

“Over 140 distinguished players have joined the 5th Samdech Krolahorm Cup 2022 today at Vattanac Golf Resort. What an amazing day of golf,” the resort posted on its Facebook page.

There were two categories for the tournament: Individual category (Strokeplay Gross) and Individual category (Strokeplay Net)

It was one of several golf tournaments that the Sir Nick Faldo-designed golf course has hosted in the last few months.

The Vattanac Golf Resort also hosted the AmCham Charity Golf Tournament 2022, 40th ASEANAPOL Golf Tournament, 8th JBAC Charity Golf Tournament and 5th Samdech Techo Prime Minister Championship.

Sar Sithik topped the Individual Category (Strokeplay Gross), while Im Rahul won the Individual Category (Strokeplay Net).

The Best Team Score was achieved by a group composed of Mok Mareth, Chea Bora and Kith Sopha.

The tournament was organised by the Ministry of Interior Golf Association.

The sponsors include Huawei Cambodia, Evian, Cellcard, IQPS, BMW Cambodia, Pong Cambodia and GCC.

“We had a great time supporting the Ministry of Interior Golf Association event yesterday in Phnom Penh,” IQPS said.

“Congratulations to Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, for hosting such an enjoyable event, and a very big thank you to David Meach for arranging a very successful day out at Vattanac Golf Course,” it added.
