A review of the days action…
Sweden blitzed the Italians in eleven minutes is the most scintillating football you could hope to see. Two injuries to key Italians were unluckily timed but it was coming. It means the Swedish are definitely in the second round whilst the Italians take on South Africa in a winner takes all game.
Then it was a double header in Group F with the French coming from behind to beat Brazil 2-1. The Brazilians were brilliant in their opening game but this defeat will have hurt them.
The final game saw Jamaica beat Panama 1-0 and they leapfrogged Brazil into second place.
What did we learn?
Sweden are capable of going all the way.
What’s coming tomorrow?
Group H round 2 comes to a close with Morocco taking on Korea and Germany playing Colombia.
Then Group A finishes with Norway taking on the Philippines and Switzerland playing New Zealand.
