It isn’t going to be a Spanish pro license coach as first thought and Oriol didn’t jump ship already from Siem Reap United. It will be Khmer coach, and Siem Reap favorite, Yuth Ny taking control until a permanent replacement can be found.
Career So Far… .
Yuth has worked in youth football in Siem Reap for as long as I can remember and is responsible for many players falling in love with football as kids.
He is youth team coach at Tiger and can be found every Sunday morning with a big smile watching his u15 team.
What Does It Mean?
Many will question what this says about Tiger and their hopes for the fire the rest of this season. It would seem they’ve given up trying to win the league and with almost certainly no relegation it could be a plan to just need in youth players for next year. If that’s the case then Yuth Ny is a cracking choice.
It could also mean that Tiger have no money and they will soon merge with someone or dissolve. Siem Reap Tigers anyone? Maybe Oriol will be coming back after all.
All I can say is good luck to you Yuth Ny. You’ve got the hardest job in CPL. Keeping the biggest fan base happy with an 9th placed finish. Keep smiling!
