TEAM FOCUS: Indonesia
EXPECTATIONS
Drawn in the more favorable group avoiding powerhouses Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia there are high hopes that Indonesia can bring home a gold medal on Phnom Penh this summer. Anything less than a medal placing will be seen as a major failure.
THE GROUP
Timor, Philippines and Myanmar should be dispatched with relative ease and hosts Cambodia will be hard to beat on home soil but we would still expect them to come through in 1st place.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Witan Sulaeman, this tricky winger is sometimes called the Asian Messi and is the Indonesian u22 top scorer by some margin. He’ll have the hopes of a nation on his shoulders.
